Tap TAKE OFF on the Home screen. The wheel deals a category, a question appears, you have a few seconds to answer. Get it right and your streak grows; cross 3, 5, 10, 15, or 21 correct in a row and a higher base score locks in. One wrong answer ends the run — your last milestone is what banks. Then go again.

Want hands-off pacing? Toggle Auto Pilot after the first question — the wheel keeps spinning automatically without waiting for taps.

• GT — Geography Trivia: countries, capitals, landmarks
• PK — Pilot Knowledge: procedures, airmanship, cockpit lore
• ID — Identify the Aircraft: image questions where you name the aircraft or airline
• SH — Stuff Happens: short narrative incidents that affect your run — no answer required, just a tap to acknowledge

Every correct answer feeds the streak and accumulates score. The bigger your streak, the higher the per-question payout. Crossing a milestone locks in a base score that's safe even if you miss the next question:

• Streak 3: first milestone — your run is now on the board
• Streak 5: second milestone — bigger base lock-in
• Streak 10: third milestone — concentration matters
• Streak 15: fourth milestone — top of the bell curve
• Streak 21: final milestone — leaderboard territory

One wrong answer ends the run; the last milestone you crossed is what gets banked. Lifetime score accumulates across every run and gates the next pilot rank.

Lifetime score gates the next rank — no shortcuts.

The first run of every calendar day pays a 3× score multiplier. Land milestones, watch your daily streak climb. Miss a day and the streak resets to zero. The day's anchor consumes on takeoff, so force-quitting won't let you farm retries.

After the anchor is spent, you can keep playing as much as you like — every additional run still feeds the leaderboard and the logbook, just at the standard rate.

• 50/50: fades two wrong options on the current question
• +10s: extends the answer clock by 10 seconds
• Skip: advances past the current question without scoring it — your streak is unaffected

Each lifeline has a limited number of charges per run. Spend them when the question is genuinely outside your range, not on every doubt.

The logbook is your achievement track — 26 goals organised into ladders. Streak ladders reward higher bests; variety goals reward answering across categories; speed goals reward fast answer cadence; clean play rewards no-lifeline runs; per-category specialists reward depth in AT, GT, PK, ID; prestige and endgame goals reward sustained play. Tiered ladders show your progress as a counter so you can see how close the next badge is.

We auto-generate a Top-Gun-style callsign (e.g., "Maverick-4172") on first launch so onboarding is instant — no sign-up forms, no email, no name picker. You can change it any time from Settings → Pilot. No purchase required.

Sign-in is optional. By default, every install gets an anonymous Firebase user that backs up your callsign, avatar, and lifetime score to the cloud — but if you reinstall the app or move to a new device, that anonymous identity is lost.

Signing in with Google or Apple from Settings → Account upgrades your anonymous identity to a permanent one, so your progress survives reinstalls and follows you across devices. Apple sign-in (iOS only) supports Apple's "Hide My Email" feature — the relay address Apple gives us still works as your identity. You can sign out at any time.

Wings & Prayers v12.1 ships with Firebase Crashlytics enabled, so most crashes are reported automatically — but a human description from you is always faster than a stack trace alone.

Visit Delete account & data — accessible without opening the app. Submit your callsign (and your Google or Apple sign-in email if you've linked one); we'll delete your Firestore documents and disable your Firebase Auth record within 30 days.

For local-only data, Settings → About → Reset progress wipes everything from your device and signs you out of any linked Google or Apple account. Your Firestore documents remain on our servers until you submit a deletion request through the form above.

Yes — gameplay is fully offline. Cloud sync (callsign, avatar, lifetime score) and the leaderboard write require a network connection, but they queue silently while you're offline and retry on the next sync. The Leaderboard tab will show an unavailable state until connectivity returns.
