What gets deleted

When we process your request, the following data is permanently removed:

• Your user profile in Firestore — the private document at /users/{your-uid} containing your callsign, avatarId, lifetimeScore, and updatedAt
• Your leaderboard summary in Firestore — the public document at /leaderboard/{your-uid} containing your callsign, score, run-summary stats, and rank
• Your Firebase Auth user record — anonymous UID and any linked Google or Apple sign-in are disabled so the account can no longer be used to write new entries
• Crashlytics installation ID associations on a best-effort basis (see note below)

What can't be deleted

• Crashlytics crash reports already submitted to Google. Crashlytics installation IDs are not linked to your Firebase Auth UID, and Google retains crash reports under its own retention policy — typically up to 90 days for unresolved crashes.
• Local on-device data stored in SharedPreferences (career score, logbook achievements, run history, daily streak, etc.). Use Settings → About → Reset progress in the app to wipe these, or simply uninstall the app. Reset progress also signs you out of any linked Google or Apple account.

Timeframe

Once your request is received, your Firestore data is permanently deleted within 30 days. For most requests we process within 7 days. We'll send a confirmation email when deletion is complete.

After deletion, your data cannot be recovered. If you reinstall the app and play again, a fresh anonymous UID will be created and a new pilot summary will be written on your next landing.

How we find your record

Wings & Prayers doesn't expose your internal Firebase user ID, so we identify your record by the details you can see inside the app:

• Your callsign — visible at the top of the Home screen and on the leaderboard. Custom callsigns are unique; auto-generated callsigns ("Maverick-4172") may rarely collide, so we may ask a follow-up question to confirm.
• Your sign-in email — if you signed in with Google or Apple via Settings → Account. If you used Apple's "Hide My Email" feature we'll have a relay address on file rather than your real one; either works.

Either of those is enough for us to find your data. Provide both if you can — it speeds things up.

Just want to wipe local data?

If you only want to reset your in-app progress (career score, logbook achievements, run history, daily streak) without server-deleting your account, open Wings & Prayers and tap Settings → About → Reset progress. This wipes everything stored on your device and signs you out of any linked Google or Apple account so the cloud copy stops being used to restore your progress. Your Firestore documents remain on our servers until you submit a deletion request through this page.
